announced major enhancements in the new release of Atrium version 3.9, a web-based project collaboration tool for the Architectural and Engineering
Industries. Atrium (http://www.pragmaticsw.com/Atrium) is a customizable project
collaboration tool. Being web-based, it has the capacity of being
deployed across an entire organization regardless of geographic location. No
installation is necessary; all that is needed is an Internet connection and a
browser.
Atrium version
3.9 now sports a more configurable user interface, improved search capabilities and
enhancements to it's reporting engine. New enhancements include:
- Configurable Screen Layouts - Clients can define their own screen
layouts (each project can have different layouts).
- Enhanced Reporting - Clients can create personal reports, complete
with their own selection criteria, fields to display and sort order. The
summary reports have also been enhanced, allowing the client to choose
selection criteria and the ability to perform cross-project reporting.
- Enhanced Searching - The search engine is improved, allowing
clients to create project level, company level and public filters.
Clients may also include parentheses in their filtering, allowing more control
over Boolean searches. Tokens can be placed in the search (like all items for
Today, 1 Day Ago, 1 Week Ago, etc.).
- Enhanced Email Alerts - Email alerts are configurable, allowing
them to be sent when items that are owned by a person are changed, when items
are assigned to a person, or if any changes are made. Release 3.9 also
allows the person to log directly into the system when email alerts are
received.
In addition to the new enhancements, Atrium allows architectural and design
communities to collaborate by sharing documents (like CAD drawings, policy and
procedure manuals, etc.). Team members can also hold on-line discussions
and use the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to track sales leads, employees,
customers and other contacts.

documents are uploaded, all team members have access to them any time of day and from anywhere
