I am excited to announce that Pragmatic Software has been purchased by AutomatedQA, makers of the award-winning test automation tool, TestComplete.

This new marriage is very exciting because we can offer our clients best-of-breed solutions for managing all facets of the application lifecycle.  By combining Software Planner's awarding winning manual test management features with AutomatedQA's automated testing tools, quality managers can manage software quality from a single integrated interface.

The existing Software Planner team stays in place -- I have been hired as the Vice President of ALM Solutions of AutomatedQA and all existing personnel continues to work on the Software Planner team.   Additionally, we are adding more resources to handle support and product development, allowing our product roadmap to mature faster than before.

The Software Planner enhancements for 2010 are quite extensive, we will be providing more integration with source control systems, IDEs, even tighter integration with TestComplete and improved test case management features.  We will also be converting to .NET and improving our web services.
